Sports For Peace

With pride and joy, we announce the launch of the popular football tournament today under the slogan "Sports for Peace." This tournament is taking place in the district of Sinjar and the southern villages as part of the community activities organized by the alliance of local Sinjar organizations, generously supported by the International Organization for Migration and funded by the Dutch government. Eight teams from the local community will compete in the tournament, and a single elimination system will be adopted to determine the winning team. The tournament will continue for a full week, and the winners and runners-up will be honored with a luxurious sports kit and special commemorative awards. This tournament reflects the spirit of solidarity and peace in our region, where people from different backgrounds and cultures come together to engage in sports and promote values of cooperation and mutual respect. Football brings people together, facilitates communication and understanding, and enhances the sense of brotherhood and love among community members. We express our gratitude to the International Organization for Migration and the Dutch government for their tremendous support for this important sports tournament. We extend special thanks to the alliance of local Sinjar organizations for their ongoing efforts in organizing this event and involving the local community.
